Ok Chap – the ruse is over—-

    Let’s seep Alan CHAPlaski……

In CT, not far from RottenGrott, a place bubbleheads know well..

Name of the boat – Neptune….no explaination needed……

“lost all his gear for fishing” – never had any in the first place b/c ya rented the boat….

Off for 4 days as a result of incident – long weekend away from the fun of Nebraska…

“it was no bonanza” – never liked that show anyway….

and, the capper: snagged the Montpelier – a Los Angeles class fast attack, commissioned 1991, very similar to the San Francisco, Los Angeles class fast attack, commissioned 1981 —-

I’m telling ya, if you MISSED the silent service THAT much, you could have just taken a nice tour of one – right?

I mean, if you WANTED your own boat, that’s ok, but as I understand it, decisions on CO’s are not done based on who can “reel in the big one”.

Sheesh…..that snow’s gotta be gettin to ya. Not to mention there MUST be some kind of tin-foil pyramid hat thing going on near all that electronic equipment you work around…..\

It’s a good try, but that would mean I’d have to be caught dead in Groton….

I mean, Nebraska is bad enough cold and snow wise, and I don’t have to stand topside watch here since I work in a hole in the ground!
