The Amen Break
A guy in Euclid, Ohio named Landon Proctor with an eponymous blog just blew my mind with an eighteen minute video about a drum break, copyright and art. More podcast than video, the piece is well put together and reveals something about a genre of music I like very much.

I am thoroughly disheartened every time I READ ABOUT the “Amen Drum Break!”I own the copyrights to the recording
and have never received apenny for its usage by other artist. The drummer, Greg Coleman has, to my knowledge, also
never received a cent or any recognition for playing this remarkable drum solo.RLSpencer

Very sorry to hear that neither of you ever received the deserved recognition. I was very sad to read that Greg Coleman died in September this year.
