Sun Kings Pump It

(And here I thought a video called “Pump It” made by airdales that was safe for work

would involve tanking.)

Ham passes us another video.  I somehow get the feeling that the whole time they were shooting this thing, on another deck much farther below the nukes were holding training on operating procedures.

Because everybody gets his own kind of fun, you know.

(Ham also mentions they do “Hey Ya”, but the original is good, too, and so is the Peanuts version.)

Man you are a day late and a dollar short! I posted this one almost a month ago………..via a link to another blog. So this means the (Butt) Sun Kings get status only when they are featured on a right wing news outlet?

Its sill funny. Especially since CAG is in the video. No drills in #1 Reactor Control for him!

Plus I wonder what Charles Shultz would have thought about this?

That “another blog,” was *ahem* my humble abode. But better late than never, I suppose.

Is that Rap or Hip-hop? Punk?

Nah don’t answer. I don’t need to know.

    Pogue of a plane!

Yes , it is a beautiful and powerful aircraft.

…and as of this past Saturday has been flying for over 46 years (first flight 21 Oct 1960). But beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I’ll bet on the grateful mind of more than one single seater looking for the ship/tanker on a dark, stormy night…

That would be the lovely Black Eyed Peas cover of “Pump It.”

I’d classify it as a form of hip-hop, but they transcend genres.

And the E-2 is a fine aeroplane…for a Navy bucket of bolts.

Oh yeah SJS..don’t forget the real role- vector to a bogie. You haven’t forgotten have ya? : -)

Nope — that’s a given though. Never had a VF guy buy my crew dinner for a bogey vector whereas we received a couple of kegs of brit ale and a case of champagne for saving an RAF F-4 from ending up in the North Atlantic — but I’m saving that story for another time/place ;)

    Mike,

The E-2 is the smaller, MUCH more capable version of the AWACS. Doing with 5 skilled personnel what it takes 17 USAF pogues to do. However they get crew rest and beer.
