Now That The Site’s Back Up…
…how about a link dump?
- Strategy Page has some headlines that illustrate differences between framing and objectivity. And they’re funny.
- Senator-elect Webb is out the gate and hobbling. I’d like to see the dead pool where he gets upset about something and leaves the Senate, like he did as SecNav…
- Somebody was as much of a 45 dweeb as I was in the late eighties. I have some of these records, and found this Flickr photoset while [obscure]looking for a Pitchblende record because they sounded so much like This Heat on the Working Holiday comp[/obscure]. And yes, I lost out on that Charlie Parker 78 auction at ebay yesterday, thanks for asking.
- Enrevanche has the snark of the day and indicates a contest that would be won in a lopsided manner.
- And here’s one guy who would win a writing contest hands down. Going right into my blogroll–good stuff. Lex, watch out.
- Commander Salamander thinks she’s my girlfriend. Daughter, more like. Scroll to the bottom for the link–and hope she gets picked up by folks like the Heritage Orchestra instead of Britney’s handlers. I remember these kids in high school who were amazing in technical skill, but who had never heard anything other than the top ten on the radio, and really needed some Coltrane.
- So many levels on this one to hear discussion about, most of which I’ve already heard before I knew about this–Ayn Rand speaking at West Point in 1974. Somehow she seems more coherent when not given nine hundred pages to explore the subject.
By the way, I figure the real reason I got dropped out of the internets for a couple of days is that I got outed by Instapundit due to something having to do with cat poop. No, it’s not a euphemism and no I’m not giving a link…

Chap,
I’m waiting for him to get into a slugg’n match with the Dem leadership on something and then switch from (D) to (I) and then watch the fur fly. Webb would have no problem being a 1 term Sen or running again as an “I”. It will be quite a ride.
