Well, when you consider that a fair portion of MIT’s faculty’s kids probably attend (and go to the website – that’s no ordinary HS…) I suppose one shouldn’t be too surprised… *sigh* suddenly my 8″ Newtonian seems so…inadequate ;)

You could also go to this high school and take this course. They also have a little observatory on the roof that would do just fine for this sort of thing.
Also, I had a fire control tech once who took his scope just about everywhere on deployment. Occasionally I had to get him out of trouble with authorities who had never seen a telescope…
