This Would Happen The Week I Get A Detaching FITREP…
A wheelbook is a steno notepad, usually shoved halfway down the back of some poor officer’s pants as he rushes from meeting to meeting. A PDA would be a nice substitute if they allowed them in classified spaces.
The yeoman dropped by to tell me he saw the above link. Nice of him to give the warning!

Plus, you’ll never worry about forgetting the password on your wheelbook either.

Man…bloggers making the extra $$$…well, maybe just beer money, but it’s a great “post” in the MSM world…

I’m just happy to be able to slightly influence the company I’ve griped about before in a tiny way. You’ll see with the next one–I’ve already gotten some heads snapping back among folks who haven’t followed milblogs for years.
Haven’t seen dollar one yet, but I hear some green stamps are on the way.
Heh. Password on the wheelbook–that’s a good one. “We won’t tell you the rules, but you won’t get a good password until you meet the rules. So far you’ve figured out you need a minimum of nineteen characters, six uppercase and three lowercase letters, four ‘special characters’ which only exist on Albanian keyboards, and cannot be the last seven passwords. You should be good at this since we require you to change this every week. Don’t write this down anywhere–memorize the password. Oh, and the fact that you only need to be at this portal once a year is no excuse!”

I once had my Daytimer kidnapped, when I left it behind in the Wardroom after a PB4T. Blogged it under “Sea Stories”…no worries, the MAA determined the culprit soon after the ransom photos appeared…ah, deployment stunts to keep the mind active…
