Spengler’s one to watch. I usually don’t follow the Asia Times, but this one guy has been pretty incisive in discussing religion issues. He’s had a series of good columns, and the one linked above got Insta’s attention as an example of how the Pope is acting a year or two after the Regensburg speech.
There’s a sharp, sharp chaplain where I work. He and I talked about the Catholic Church’s actions over the last year or two; I remarked to him that perhaps that church is thinking on a different time scale than I am in getting across what it wants.
Oh, by the way. I did a search for recent Tom Barnett posts with the word “Tibet”. I also did a search for recent Hitchens articles mentioning Tibet and the atheist Chinese government. Funnily enough, both searches turned up blank…
