Still On TAD

I seem to have jumped into a very nice place. After a few weeks of rain, it`s a beautiful day here, and it`s my birthday, so it is time to go outside and call my betrothed. I will post once I get home in about three days.

While I work, a glimpse of what`s to come.

  1. My friend returns from a human rights convention in Paris with some trenchant insights and some philosophic questions for which I have no easy answer. Connections to China and Islamism to follow somehow.
  2. Comments on Lee Harris´ great book, Civilization And Its Enemies.
  3. Assuming I can travel there, an Art Nouveau exhibit.
  4. What an IPC is and how it works.
  5. How roomy a HiP helicopter is.

Okay. Enough for now. More later…

Felicitations on your birthday. Hope it was memorable!

Lee Harris’ book was excellent, and a little dispiriting. Let’s hope the evil genie remembers to summon all its powers.

V.S. Naipaul’s two books on Islam, though less current, are also very good.

Happy Happy Birthday. Sorry you have to be away from home, but I’m sure you’re beloved will make it up for you. God Speed – and may this year bring you all the joy you could wish for.
