Doing It As Right As You Can
Sometimes it is as dangerous to be an ally of America as it is to be an enemy. Various groups that worked with us got the royal shaft, or got recompensed only grudgingly and late. (The Montagnards now settling in NC, the Philippine fighters with us in WWII, and so forth are individual examples; there are national examples, too.)
The South Dakota National Guard grabbed their Congressman and figured out a way to immigrate, and support, an Iraqi family to the US that lost their father when he got killed for working with us. It’s not a great solution but it will do.
