Launching The Ship

The launching of USS Kamehameha, like any ship's launching, was a pretty significant event. Mrs. Samuel Wilder King was the ship's sponsor. There were many folks from Hawaii there to support the launch, as well as senators, Medal of Honor winners, the shipyard personnel who built the ship, and the Navy Band.
